Statement on the Vendini Security Breach
Attn Patrons: Many of you may have received a letter from Vendini, our ticketing software company, stating that their system was hacked into on April 25th for a few brief moments. They have contacted all credit card companies about the break in and have cooperated with an investigation by the FBI. Please note that your credit card numbers are not kept on file, and we only took 2 orders on that day. These are the only two orders that may have been jeopardized. If you are one of these two patrons, we have contacted you personally.
While Vendini -- as well as most other large, respected online companies such as Amazon -- work daily to keep their systems compliant with the highest security regulations, no one is completely safe from hackers. Vendini, since this incident, has hired top professionals to add an extra layer of security to their already PCI compliant systems. Please note that purchasing anything with a credit card (online or otherwise) always carries with it an element of risk, and it is always a best practice to keep an eye on all credit card statements and notify your carrier if you notice anything suspicious.
