Stile Antico has created a unique and beautiful sequence of works inspired by the traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols. Renaissance masterworks alternate with intimate verse by poets such as John Donne and George Herbert in place of scripture. This hour-long program is a veritable feast of words and music performed by one of the top vocal ensembles in the world.
