The Friends of Chamber Music COVID-19 Protocols

The Board of Directors of the Friends of Chamber Music has adopted the following COVID-19 Protocols for our events.

The Friends of Chamber Music will implement new COVID-19 protocols for patrons, volunteers and staff attending our indoor concerts in person. Unless a venue imposes more stringent requirements, effective Sept. 30, 2021, all patrons who enter a Friends of Chamber Music event to attend public performances must provide proof of COVID-19 full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test collected no more than 72 hours prior to entry, along with their valid photo ID. Masks will be required at all times while inside the venue in compliance with city ordinance.

Proof of vaccination status may be demonstrated by display on a smartphone or by showing a physical copy of the vaccination card or official vaccination record showing evidence of being fully vaccinated.  The CDC definition of fully vaccinated will be used when determining whether an individual is fully vaccinated.

Patrons not fully vaccinated must show a recent negative COVID-19 PCR test. The test must list the individual’s name, a negative test result, and a time stamp of collection within 72 hours before the performance time.

A valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport is required that matches the proof of vaccine or negative test result. Patrons younger than 18 may present a school photo ID. Those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who affirms that the negative test is that of the patron under 12.

Some of our venues may impose more stringent requirements, such as proof of full vaccination and/or limiting attendance by children 12 or younger, regardless of negative test results. The Friends of Chamber Music will follow the requirements of our venue and will communicate any more stringent requirements for each performance.

The Friends of Chamber Music will reevaluate this policy on an ongoing basis and may adjust according to public health circumstances or changes to local regulations or requirements.

Folly Theater COVID-19 Policy

First of all, we are so thankful for the support you’ve shown this year. We would like to take this time to provide with some helpful information as you decide whether to attend our concerts in-person this season.

Our partner venue, The Folly Theater has recently published their COVID-19 policy for attending performances. Please visit their website to learn more.

This fall we have scheduled two concerts, so it is likely that these guidelines may change in January. If that occurs, we will let you know as soon as possible. Please note- if you are uncomfortable attending concerts, we are pleased to offer a myriad of performances and educational videos for free on our website through our Chamber Music Now program.
