White Recital Hall - UMKC Campus

Located just minutes east of the Country Club Plaza.
Take 47th street east to Rockhill Road. Go south on Rockhill Road. At the stoplight (a four-way fork at Rockhill, Volker and Cherry) veer left onto Rockhill. Take the first right and go up the hill. The James C. Olson Performing Arts Center is to your right at the top of the hill. FREE parking is provided in the lots adjacent to the building (for evening and weekend performances). (Metered lots in front of the University Center will not be patrolled during Saturday evening and Sunday performances.)

The Carlsen Center is on the campus of Johnson County Community College at the southwest corner of College Boulevard and Quivira Road in Overland Park, Kansas. The main entrance is on College Boulevard at Oakmont Street.

ParkingParking is generally free, except for the rare weeknight performance. Please ask the box office about reserved parking if the event you’re attending is scheduled on a weeknight.

The closest place to park is in either the East or West Carlsen Center parking garage.

• To get to the Carlsen Center garages, drive onto campus from the east College Boulevard entrance.
• The garages are two-level lots directly in front of (to the north of) the Carlsen Center.
• “Reserved” spots in the surface lot parallel to the west garage may be used for performance parking.
• Check your tickets for curtain time and arrive 20-25 minutes in advance for best parking.

If those garages are full, you can also park in the Student Center lot west of the Carlsen Center or in the Galileo’s Garden multi-level parking structure on the south end of campus.

• To get to the Galileo's Garden parking structure, drive onto campus at Quivira Road or follow the East Campus inner road east and south to Clock Drive.
• Turn right on Clock Drive into the parking garage.
• After you park, walk out of the northeast exit of the garage and follow the sidewalk straight north to the Carlsen Center.

The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

There is limited parking in the church parking lots. Paid parking is available in a variety of downtown lots.

1. Eastside parking lot of the Cathedral
2. Catholic Charities lot on the north side of Donnelly Hall
3. Surface lot on southwest corner of 12th and Washington
4. KC Southern/Cathedral Square garage with entrances off Washington, and off 13th Street.
5. DST Garage at 12th and Broadway with entrance off 12th Street.

Please note: Because of other events downtown, there may be times when the garages are full, and you may be directed to another parking area by the attendant.

Events at this venue are general admission. Doors typically open 30-45 minutes before the performance. Seating is first come, first serve. Please plan accordingly.
