Master Pianists Series
The Friends of Chamber Music’s nationally-acclaimed Master Pianists Series epitomizes its motto, “the intimate voice of classical music.”
In a dramatic example of the power of The Friends, a virtually unknown pianist named Richard Goode was empowered to perform the entire cycle of Beethoven sonatas on the Master Pianists Series in 1987. Goode was later to become the first American-born pianist to record the complete Beethoven piano sonatas—recognized by many to be the definitive recordings of the works.
The 2011-2012 season continues this legacy with titans of the piano performing mesmerizing programs.
