Set in post-WWII France and featuring a musically-talented cast of youngsters, Les Choristes was nominated for two Academy Awards (Best Foreign-Language Film, and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures—Original Song) and won a Golden Globe for Best Foreign-Language Film. The soundtrack topped the French albums chart for a total of 11 weeks. Features music by Rameau and Strauss, including Rameau’s hymn-like “La Nuit.”
