The Friends’ International Chamber Music Series brings to Kansas City the world’s premier musicians performing the finest classical music. Internationally-renowned string quartets, chamber orchestras, vocal ensembles, piano trios, and other chamber groups present magnificent classical repertoire.
Kicking off The Friends of Chamber Music’s 2011-2012 season is the world premier of The Darwin Project, a unique multi-media concert experience exploring the life of Charles Darwin and the theory that changed our view of life. Featuring renowned actors, stunning historical images and original photography, and beautiful classical music presented by a string quartet, solo piano, and chamber choir, Darwin’s story comes to life in this dynamic event.
