The Friends of Chamber Music's annual benefit, Soirée, will be held on May 8, 2010, in the Rooftop Ballroom of the InterContinental Hotel on the Plaza. This annual black-tie affair features an elegant dinner and silent and live auctions with select wines, luxury items, and unique musical experiences. Dr. Michael and Mrs. Ginger Frost (pictured left) serve as Honorary Chairs, and Mr. Robert and Mrs. Prudence True serve as Event Chairs. Doug Frost, Kansas City-based wine consultant and host of KCPT's "Check Please!", and one of only three people in the world to hold both Master Sommelier and Master of Wine titles, will serve as master of ceremonies, and will be on hand throughout the evening for wine consultations. Guests will also be treated to a performance by Duo Gelato, the exciting and entertaining pairing Quartetto Gelato's classical tenor and virtuoso violinist Peter De Sotto and World Champion accordianist and pianist Alexander Sevastion.

Proceeds from the benefit support The Friends' three concert series and our educational music program, "What Makes It Great?" with Rob Kapilow.

Individual tickets: $250 ($150 tax-deductible)

Table of 10: $2,500 ($1,500 tax-deductible)
